Amanda has over 30 years’ experience of representing clients in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence claims.
After studying at the University of Birmingham and the School of Law in Chester she worked for a number of years in Nottingham before moving to Wales in 1996 and joining Smith Llewelyn Partnership where she soon became a Partner.
Amanda undertakes a wide range of claims from accidents occurring at work and in public places to claims arising from defective products and the negligence of medical practitioners. She has represented clients of all ages as well as the bereaved families of those who have sustained fatal injuries.
Amanda strives to obtain the best results for all of her clients, whether they have sustained catastrophic injuries resulting in them having long term needs or less serious injuries from which they will make a full recovery. She appreciates the huge impact that injuries can have on a person’s life and family (whether in the long or short term) and she works with her clients to put in place any support, care and rehabilitation that is required.
Amanda has obtained lump sum awards in excess of one million pounds for a number of clients who have been injured in road accidents and as a result of clinical negligence and, where appropriate, has settled the claim on the basis of additional substantial payments being made annually for life to cover the cost of the ongoing care.
She has achieved the Law Society Personal Injury Accreditation and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers.
Whilst she provides professional advice Amanda is approachable and sympathetic. She is happy to provide an initial no obligation half hour interview free of charge and to act on a no win, no fee basis in suitable cases.
