Barbara is the head of our Non-Contentious Department and our Matrimonial and Family Department. She has a wealth of legal experience originally qualifying in a well-known North West Practice before returning in 2000 to her native South Wales. Barbara became a partner with Smith Llewelyn Partnership in 2015.
She has a wide experience in all aspects of Conveyancing and Property Law and specialises in the buying and selling of houses and commercial property matters.
Barbara has extensive knowledge in the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and advises and assists many of our elderly and vulnerable clients as both Deputy and Attorney. She ensures that their day-to-day needs are met and provides the support that they require at what can be a difficult time in their life. She regularly deals with Probate and Estate matters as well as acting as executor in high net worth cases.
As Head of our Family Department, Barbara has developed the legal skills and knowledge in assisting those whose marriages have come to an end. She has experience in both divorce and dealing with financial arrangements (including high net worth matters).
Barbara is a member of both the Law Society’s Family Panel and Solicitors for the Elderly. She is also a member of the IMB and a Trustee of a Local School.
